We’re doing a little bit of everything - everywhere, from participating in Cincinnati Children's Hospital’s annual event at the Cincinnati Zoo, to taking families to Friends for Life in Orlando each summer, to hosting a number of in-person events like our annual cookouts in New York and New Orleans (and expanding soon to a location near you!) as well as super hip hangs with our community at spots like Ace Hotel in Brooklyn.

As a volunteer concierge, you will answer calls and help guide the people in our T1D community towards the resources and support available to them. Whether it’s helping someone find a new endocrinologist, secure diabetes technology, or just talk through a new diagnosis, our Care Concierges step in with empathy, lived experience, and real connections and solutions for individuals and families managing life with Type 1 Diabetes.
Each volunteer is trained to:
Volunteers typically give 4–8 hours per week and ideally have a personal connection to T1D, a strong sense of empathy, and solid communication skills.
